Green Building
The Northwest is a naturally beautiful place to live. With the oceans and mountains so close, we can cherish the wilderness and wildlife that surrounds us. As carpenters who feel connected to the forest and land that we enjoy everyday, we believe we can build with our natural world by being wise in our use of resources and our conservation of them.
This is the motivation behind Peoples Natural Construction. We build new homes, remodel older homes and create fine carpentry projects from a green prospective. We also want to encourage our community to build with straw bale and cob, and take a leadership role in the alternative and natural building movement. We would like encourage our clients to build creatively and with a high regard for energy use. We have a strong focus on building sustainably, locally, durably, energy efficiently, and with non- toxic materials. We believe that to build with these elements is to build consciously.
To ensure that our client's house or project is well built and green built, we use Earth Advantage's green building certification. Their system ensures quality in the areas of energy efficiency, healthy indoor air, environmental responsibility and resource efficiency. Clients will receive a document that describes what exactly has been done and how the house tested when inspected.
